The Importance of 3D Scanning and Architectural Layout in Valais
3D scanning
Thanks to the 3D scanningWith this technology, architectural offices in the Valais can obtain complete documentation of each building. This technology allows details to be captured with millimetre precision. This is particularly useful for assessing the condition of the building and planning renovation effectively.
2D drawings
3D surveys are used as a basis for creating 2D plans complete. We work closely with Valais architects to adapt these plans to each project. Visit church plans are then used to understand the structure of the building and identify areas requiring specific work.
3D models and BIM
We also create mock-ups 3D and models BIM. These representations enable architects to anticipate structural changes in a virtual environment. This helps them to plan renovations while reducing costs and deadlines. See the differences between 3D models and BIM modelling on our dedicated page
Our subcontracted collaboration with Valais architects
As a subcontractor, we provide technical expertise in the following areas 3D scanningthe creation of 2D plans and models BIM. We work hand in hand with the architectural offices of the Valais. Our aim is to provide tailor-made solutions, adapted to the specific requirements of each project.
3D Survey and Architectural Plan of a Church in Valais: An Innovative Approach
As part of a recent project, we created the 3D survey a church in the Valais. This project, carried out with a local architectural firm, enabled us to capture every architectural detail. Thanks to our survey, we were able to create 2D plans plans. These plans revealed structurally fragile areas requiring urgent renovation.
Step 1: Measuring with a Leica 3D Scanner
The first step is to carry out a survey using a 3D scanner Leica. This tool allows us to capture every detail of the church with great precision.
Stage 2: Processing the Point Cloud for CAD software
Le point cloud resulting from the survey is processed in software CAD/CAM. This process is crucial for obtaining church plans that can be used in design tools.
Stage 3: From 3D model to 2D architectural plans with ARCHICAD
We use ARCHICAD to transform the point cloud into a model 3D detailed and 2D plans. This ensures seamless integration into architects' workflows. Find out more about 3D file formats
