3D scanning of a factory and creation of a point cloud
Our 3D laser scanners enable us to survey complex industrial environments, including plant rooms, production areas, workshops, boiler rooms and spaces containing numerous service networks.
The point cloud of the factory captures the position and geometry of the visible elements and can be used directly by architects, engineers and technical departments.
For roofs, façades, structures at height or areas that are difficult to access, ground-based surveying may be supplemented, where appropriate, by drone surveying.
BIM modelling and plans of the existing factory
Using the point cloud, we can create a BIM model of the factory or draw up plans of the current condition.
Depending on the project’s requirements, we can depict, amongst other things, the building, walls, floor slabs, columns, structural frames, façades, openings and any visible technical installations required for the project.
Deliverables may include floor plans, sections, elevations, DWG/PDF files, BIM models and 3D point clouds in various formats.
Survey of technical installations, HVAC and pipework
3D scanning of a factory is particularly well suited to environments containing a large number of technical installations. It enables the positions of HVAC ducts, conduits, pipework, cable trays, technical equipment and visible metal structures to be recorded.
This data provides a reliable basis for planning the installation of new equipment, modifying existing networks or checking the available space prior to works.
A reliable foundation for the transformation of your factory
3D scanning of a factory makes it easier to prepare renovation and conversion projects without having to rely on old or incomplete plans.
The survey can be used, for example, to plan an extension, redevelop a production area, integrate new equipment, document the current condition, or provide the various stakeholders with a common geometric reference.
3D Scan Bat carries out 3D laser surveys of factories and industrial buildings in Switzerland, providing deliverables tailored to the needs of architects, engineers, operators and engineering firms.
